NEWS-Cupcake in a Box the Little Building

Hello Friends and Welcome to March

We have some great offerings this spring at the studio.  From Tween/Teen Art, Painting on Mondays for Elementary to unique offerings for adults like Paint a Barn Quilt to Origami Star Lanterns with visiting artist Carissa in May.

News: The lovely little building that Bare Knuckle Arts occupies will be demolished later this summer to make way for housing and other commercial space that is being redeveloped on our block.  Although the future of the studio seems uncertain at this moment in time, I am hopeful and confident in what the future holds.  Please stay updated by connecting to our website and the section on News will have the most relevant vision of where the studio is headed.

Thanks for your support and Hustle that Art Muscle because it just feels good to create.

Come Paint a Barn Quilt, Tuesdays in April!

Come paint a barn quilt with us but if you don't have a barn that's okay.  You can put it on your screen porch, garage or even right beside your front door.

What's a Barn Quilt? A larger piece of wood painted to look like a quilt block. Typically they are very large and usually are placed on the exterior of a barn, house, garage or shed. Barn Quilts began in the early 2000's in Ohio and now many states have Barn Quilt Trails you can follow, including Shawano County in Wisconsin. Our barn quilts will be the size of 24 inch by 24 inch. Most barn quilts are painted with simple geometric shapes, like squares, rectangles and triangles. They usually are painted in solid colors. The simplicity in shape and the vibrancy of solid colors make these blocks easily seen from afar AND it makes they easy to create, Painter's Tape Baby!! No Experience is necessary for this workshop. All materials provided. Four Tuesdays in April 7, 14, 21, 28 6-8pm  $65 per person
