Lapham Citizen Scientists is an on going project at Lapham Elementary that began Jan. 2018 with students in all grades.  Beginning in their art room students worked with Amy Mietzel Visiting Artist to create their very own Citizen Scientist notebooks to use for the rest of the school year.  Students learned about the schools name sake Increase A. Lapham.  They learned about how instrumental he was in mapping Wisconsin, identifying weather patterns, observing, writing, and drawing all the native flora, fauna, and wildlife of Wisconsin.  Then based on Lapham's own journals and sketchbooks each student created their own paste paper book to be used in the garden.
