Bayview Foundation, Inc. has a Community Center, located in Madison Wisconsin. It is in the Triangle Neighborhood which isbetween West Washington St. and Park St. In the very center of this neighborhood is a community center that services the many people that live there. They have a very strong tradition of gardening with gardens located everywhere. This spring, summer, and fall we had input sessions with the residents to create a design for a mural based on their gardening traditions. A very talented young artist named Tou worked and took all the ideas, then synthesized them to create the mural design. This design was then painted in Bayview's new pocket park. It helped completely transform the space. Tou and some of the younger residents helped paint this mural, they are very inspiring young people who work to make their community a lovely place. These are some of the images.
